Official: Finland is the Best Country in the world

Posted on 04 September 2010 by Steven

Newsweek magazine just published its annual league tables of the best countries it the world and Finland has come out on top. For those of us who live here it might be a little surprising and I personally wonder if the Newsweek pollsters actually came to Finland it he middle of winter at the weekend and saw the city function on a Saturday night.

But congrats to Finland, I am happy to boast to the world I am living in the best country in the world. I came here in 2006 to study also because it promoted itself as having the best education system and I cannot for the more disagree.

In comparison to Ireland, Finland is a safe country to live in (minus the shooting sprees), its health care system is affordable and functioning and the public transport system actually operates according to a timetable and has official bus stops along its route. There is a lot said to having order to a society.
